Patty Lindsay to represent CSN on World Stroke Organization board

The World Stroke Organization’s 400 members have voted and elected Dr. Patrice Lindsay, Canadian Stroke Network Director of Performance and Standards, to their Board of Directors. Nominations invited for prestigious mentorship award

The Canadian Stroke Network is pleased to announce the 6th annual competition for the Paul Morley Mentorship Award (a $25,000 one-time award). This award recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution towards mentoring research trainees or developing training initiatives in the area of stroke. Last chance to submit late-breaking abstracts and on-going clinical trials

There is only a week and a half remaining to submit late-breaking abstracts and on-going clinical trials to the 3rd Canadian Stroke Congress. Abstracts and on-going clinical trials must be submitted online by July 15, 2012. Late-breaking abstracts should feature recent scientific discoveries or analyses of randomized clinical trials or prospective observational cohort studies. CSN provides 18 travel awards to Canadian Stroke Congress

Eighteen post-docs and graduate students will receive a CSN Travel Award to attend the Canadian Stroke Congress in Calgary from Sept. 29 to Oct. 2, 2012 .  Recipients, selected from among 31 applicants, were awarded up to $1,500 each to travel to the meeting to present their research. In total, CSN provided $22,500 in travel awards.
