Former CSN Board Chair named Officer, Order of Canada
Former CSN Board Chair and Board Member Emeritis David W. Scott has been made an officer of the Order of Canada for his contributions to the legal profession and for his charitable activities.
Mr. Scott led the Canadian Stroke Network Board from start-up in 1999 through the successful second-term renewal in 2005. In addition to his impressive contributions to Canadian society through legal and charity work, Mr. Scott has been a strong champion and an unwavering advocate for stroke research in Canada. “I can think of no one more worthy of this honour than David Scott,” said CSN Scientific Director Tony Hakim. “To be honest, when I found out that David was named an Officer of the Order of Canada, I was surprised because I thought that, considering his contributions to Canada, his investiture would have happened long ago.”
