New website focuses on pediatric stroke

Posted on May 11th, 2012

There is a new website available for families who have been affected by pediatric stroke. The website, created by the Canadian Pediatric Stroke Support Association (CPSSA), provides information and resources for children with stroke, their families and professionals working in pediatric stroke.

One of the highlights of the new online resource is the links to other sources of information, such as the CSN’s stroke best practices website, blogs and books focused on pediatric stroke and a link to HemiKids, an online support group for families.

Another section, called “Guidance,” helps families through different stages of stroke recovery. Some of the topics in this section include preparing for kindergarten, including siblings and newly diagnosed.

Check out the website at www.cpssa.org.
