Canadian Stroke Network Trainee Association (CSNTA)

There are over 100 trainees working in labs associated with the CSN. The aim of the CSNTA is to bring these individuals together to enhance communication and collaboration among the trainees.

The mission of the trainee association is to enhance the training environment for and promote the excellence of trainees affiliated with the CSN. Members come from many universities across the country, covering a vast geographic space. The association will increase communication and collaborations among its many members. In addition the Association will serve as a voice for the trainees of the Network in terms of advocating and promoting the student perspective at CSN meetings.

Objectives

  • Encourage and initiate collaboration among trainees and other researchers
  • Strengthen visibility of trainees within the CSN
  • Increasing the profile of CSN trainees within their home organization
  • Facilitate educational development in a variety of areas including fellowship opportunities, job searching, and grant writing.
